recommends simple exercises that are specific to the health, vitality and physical state of each person.

encourages everyone to exercise at a pace, intensity and duration that is achievable without pain or unnecessary discomfort.

inspires everyone to enjoy the feeling of movement in their body, and enjoy themselves
The Benefits of Danielle Pirera EP exercise sessions include;

a greater awareness of quality of breath and movement.

a greater understanding of the body and awareness of feelings in the body.

improved self confidence, self worth and love of your body.

developing strength, flexibility, stability, fluidity and vitality in all systems in the body, specifically the cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, connective tissue, endocrine and nervous systems

improved overall health and wellbeing, possibly including energy levels, motivation and sleeping patterns
The Procedures of a Danielle Pirera EP exercise session or group class will vary according to the services required or the program you are participating in but may include;

an assessment involving a variety of tests including various sitting or laying stretches, simple standing balance tests, a 6 min walk test, chair sit to stand, a 3 minute step test and core and abdominal muscle exercises. (to assess cardio-respiratory endurance, strength, flexibility and balance).

measurements of your height, weight, waist and hip circumferences (only when necessary or requested).

a description of tests procedures before testing and the right to refuse testing or to stop at any time with no penalty.

a variety of exercises that are undertaken at a light to moderate intensity for a period of time that you can manage with no discomfort, bracing or pain.

aerobic exercises involving large muscle groups, such as walking, swimming or stepping.
-
strength training exercises using dumbbells, body weight or resistance bands.
-
stretching exercises in a sitting or laying position.
-
balance exercises using balance pads and fit balls
-
core and abdominal strength exercises using body weight or fit balls.

programs that vary from person to person depending on individual needs.
There are general Risks associated with exercise participation.

Risks are present if the body is pushed beyond what it can handle or exercise is undertaken using inappropriate or unsafe techniques or due to slips trips and falls.

All risks are minimised by maintaining quality and integrity in the services and the close and care-full monitoring of you during any testing or exercise. Also by being aware of your medical history and remaining respectful of your bodies capabilities and needs.

General risks associated with exercise include muscule and joint pain, lightheadedness, breathlessness, fatigue, abnormal blood pressure or a rare case of stroke, heart attack or death if the cardiovascular system is put under too much strain when there are any cardiovascular diseases or weaknesses already present.
The Safeguards that Danielle Pirera EP put into place to minimise risks and to ensure the safe and efficient management of any situation that arises include;

working within the Scope Of Practice of an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, as outlined by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) here.

practicing according to the ESSA Code of Professional Practice and Conduct found here and the Esoteric Practitioners Association (EPA) Code of Ethics, found here.

all clients required to fill out a medical history and a physical activity readiness questionnaire and seek medical approval to continue when risks of exercise participation are identified.

sharing all exercises in a way, intensity and duration that is in complete honouring of the clients body that day to not push beyond what the body needs.

monitoring of all participants closely to ensure they are not pushing themselves beyond what they can handle or are not putting themselves at risk.

fully qualified, trained, registered and insured therapists.
-
first aid trained therapists with appropriate first aid equipment on site at all events.

a training environment and equipment that are well maintained, cared for, cleaned and updated regularly to reduce the risk of accident or injury

work environments and practices that are run according to national and state work health and safety codes of conducts and guidelines.
Clients Rights, Responsibilities, Confidentiality and Privacy;

your participation is completely voluntary and you have the right to choose to terminate or withdraw from our services at any time.

if more than 24 hours notice is provided for any cancelled sessions or exercise groups we can refund you fully.

cancellations any less than 24 hours notice means you forfeit any payment you have made or you will be required to pay for any services not already paid for.

it is your responsibility to ensure that you have asked all questions that you have and received answers that you understand in full.

your information will be stored electronically in an external hard drive protected with a password. Any paper data (such as consent forms and pre-screen documents) will be stored in a locked filing cabinet. See our privacy policy for further details.
